President's Message

Welcome to the website of the Metropolitan Dallas Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.  We are pleased that you have taken the time to visit with us.  This site is just one of the new communication initiatives that we have developed to provide information about the sorority and the chapter's programs and services.

We have coined the acronym "MDA" in our chapter, and we affectionately say that we are Moving Delta Ahead!   Our membership is an organization of women who are commitment to public service who have formed a sisterhood and establish lifelong friendships with women of diverse backgrounds but a common goal.  We provide a nurturing environment, which encourages individual creativity, where our members can grow and develop.  Members will find a support system within our organization of more than 200,000 members worldwide.  We are dedicated to providing service, support and leadership to Dallas County and surrounding areas, focusing on issues that promote human welfare and public service.

Our website has been designed to provide resourceful and exciting information, as well as a means to provide the opportunity to learn about our founding, programmatic thrust, and upcoming events.  We hope that you will enjoy your visit with us and support our chapter in its programs, activities and events whenever you are in Dallas.

A special "thank-you" goes out to our technology team who maintains our website with regular updates on programs and events.

Sincerely,
Dassa Giles
